Having a Safety Plan in place is crucial when suicide thoughts become overwhelming. This plan will provide support and guidance during moments of crisis, giving you the necessary time to seek help. Keep your safety plan easily accessible at all times to ensure your well-being.

If you're struggling with negative thoughts or feelings of suicidality, here are some coping strategies that may help you distract yourself.

1. Talk to someone: Reach out to family, a friend or counselor. Talking about how you feel can be

incredibly beneficial.

2. Breathing exercises: Simple deep breathing exercises can help reduce anxiety and enhance feelings of calmness.

3. Connect with nature: Spend some time outdoors. Fresh air and nature can significantly boost your mood.

4. Engage in physical activity: Exercise can help improve your mood and lower stress.

5. Creative outlets: Engage in creative activities like drawing, painting, writing or playing music. Expressing yourself creatively can be therapeutic.

6. Limit social media: Taking a break from social media can help reduce negative comparisons and

feelings of inadequcy.

It's okay to encounter moments of despair. However, within the complexity of our experiences, there are countless reasons to hold on and seek a pathway toward

hope and healing.

1. Connection with Loved Ones: Your presence matters to family and friends. There are people who love and care for you deeply, and your life has a profound impact on theirs.

2. Future Possibilities: Life is full of unexpected twists and turns. The future may hold opportunities, experiences, and joys that you can't envision right now.

3. Personal Growth: Every challenge you face can lead to personal growth, resilience and strength. Overcoming difficulties can foster a deeper understanding of yourself and your capabilities.

4. Impact on Others: Your unique story and experiences can inspire and help others who are struggling. Sharing your journey can bring hope and support to someone in need.
